Born In Vienna, Austria, in 1942. Wolf D. Prix studied at Vienna University of Technology, the Architectural Association in London and the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI Arc) in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
Wolf D. Prix has been a full professor of architectural design since 1993 and dean of architecture, industrial design, product design, fashion and stage design since 1999 at Vienna University of Applied Art. 1984: Adjunct professor of the Architectural Association in London, GB 1990: Visiting professor at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. 1985 – 1995: Adjunct professor at SCI Arc, Los Angeles. 1999: Harvey S. Perloff chair at UCLA Los Angeles, USA. 2001: Visiting professor at UCLA Los Angeles, USA. Since 2001 Doctor Honoris Causa de la Universidad de Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
1995 – 1997: Member of the architecture advisory board at the federal ministry of science and research. 2000 – 2006: Member of the Austrian university board of trustees and since 2001 permanent member of the Austrian art senate. Wolf D. Prix is a member of the chambers of architecture in Austria, Germany and Santa Clara, Cuba.
